Ingredients:
Cream 1/4 lb. butter in bowl
Add 1 cup sugar
1 egg and mix
Add 1 cup flour with 1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Mix well, add flavoring
1/2 tsp. almond
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Spread batter in greased pie plate (about 10"). Cut 15 Italian
prune plums or 2 lbs. apples. Cut plums in half, press slightly
into batter, skin side down. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2
tsp. cinnamon and bake in hot oven (400 deg) 30 min. If apples
are used, bake in moderate oven 350 deg for about 50 minutes.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes for plums. Approx 50 minutes
for apples.
